Girls Cross Country Showing Consistent Improvement
Weston Girls Cross Country has seen many improvements throughout the season with its most recent win over Stratford and Notre Dame. With many new runners this year, the team struggled in its first few meets but has progressed greatly with as much as 12 minutes personal records.
Led by the collaborative efforts of Weston High School’s coaching staff, Head Coach Douglass Pregman and Assistant Coaches Gamble and Parlanti, the girls are able to stay motivated while balancing a busy school schedule and preparing for the upcoming SWC and State Championship meets. Coach Gamble, who ran cross country in high school, is able to relate to the athletes and offer helpful advice when it comes to fueling, recovery, and technique. Coach Pregmann’s years of coaching experience provide knowledge about the different courses and a variety of workouts to address specific goals.
Come support girls cross country on their last home meet of the season (also SENIOR NIGHT) on Tuesday 10/11! They will be taking on Immaculate, Masuk, and Kolbe at home. Make sure to cheer extra loud for our graduating seniors. Go Trojans!
