Weston Girls Swim and Dive Posed for Success
The Weston High School Girls Swim and Dive Team have started up their fall season with success as they train to defend their title as reigning State and SWC champions! Weston Girls Swim and Dive is one of the most successful programs at WHS, led by Head Coach Brandon Barone and Head Dive Coach Shannon Craley. Their newest addition to the coaching staff, Assistant Coach Mike Deluca, is eager and ready to be a part of this highly competitive group! The girls are motivated and training hard everyday to see promising results later in the season. They are well rounded and especially fast, winning their first meet of the season against New Milford last Friday.
The Warhorse is honored to have spoken to Zofia Chmiel, one of their captains. Zofia says, “As the name suggests, swamily is literally like a second family to me and I truly would do anything for these girls. As a freshman, I remember the seniors telling us how much time flies and it’s actually astonishing how right they were. I’m incredibly lucky to have been chosen as captain and I will do everything in my power to make my final season incredible. I know the girls will do amazing as they always do so let’s go get that state championship!! #brandonation”
With that, we wish the girls luck with *fingers crossed* another winning season! Come see the team in action on Tuesday at the WMS Pool against New Fairfield! Go Trojans!
