Book Review: Betting on You
Betting on You by Lynn Painter is a young adult romance comedy novel about seventeen-year-old Bailey, who reconnects with a boy named Charlie a year after a stressful flight. They meet again, working at an indoor waterpark, attempting to tolerate each other. To survive their shifts and satisfy Bailey’s mother, Bailey and Charlie start fake-dating, which sparks feelings between the two.
However, Bailey soon finds out that Charlie made a bet with another guy that he could make Bailey fall in love with him. As soon as Bailey finds out, she cuts him off completely, and Charlie has to prove his love to her before it’s too late.
Betting on You is easily one of my favorite books of all time. This book is not only a great young adult read, but it’s also quick and easy to understand. If you’re like me, this book is great for people who love an enemies-to-lovers plot with a good ending. I recommend this book to anyone who has been looking for a good romantic comedy or a little more love in their life.
